Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat has only 9 handcrafted pole and timber
treehouses. All accommodation is fully self-contained from studio
layout treehouses to 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms treehouses.
Family treehouses cater for up to 6 guests. Children are very welcome. All the accommodation is very private.
The pole and timber treehouses are designed to blend into the tropical
environment, and have spectacular mountain or rainforest views over the
highest moutain in Queensland, Mt Bartle Frere (1615 metres) and
surrounding World Heritage listed wilderness. While here you can walk
to a waterfall, discover platypus in the rainforest streams, relax in
front of your cosy fire, swim in a cool rainforest stream and take the
walking tracks through the forest.

Stay for at least two nights, there is plenty to do: visit Lake Tinaroo
which is popular for fishing, canoeing and water skiing, the Crater
Lakes are great to swim in and walk around and you will find nearby
waterfalls and giant trees of botanical wonder. There are also many
quaint towns and attractions of interest on the Tablelands including
local markets.
